Your plan decides two things: how many menu items your page can hold, and which dashboard tools are switched on. Everything else, the page itself, hosting, updates and the order request form, is the same on every plan. This page sets out exactly what each plan includes so you can pick the smallest one that fits.
Secret Kitchens is one monthly subscription per kitchen, in Australian dollars, with no commission on anything you sell. Registration is free and no card is needed until your page is live. When it goes live you receive a payment link for the plan you chose, and every plan starts with a 30-day free trial from that point.
Your plan is recorded on your kitchen and shown at the top of your dashboard’s left rail and under Settings › Your plan. The dashboard reads it to decide which cards and fields to show you. A tool your plan does not include simply is not there, rather than being shown greyed out.
Service-level inclusions that are not dashboard tools, such as photo refurbishment, motion on photos and the one-off build, are set out on the Plans and pricing page. This help page covers what the plan changes inside the product.
The limit is the number of rows on your menu. Every row counts, whether it is shown or hidden, and each size or flavour of a meal is its own row. A meal offered in three sizes uses three of your items. A pick-your-own pack is one row, whatever it contains.
| Plan | Menu items |
|---|---|
| Essential | 20 |
| Professional | 40 |
| Premium | 60 |
| Truck & Stall | 60 |
The Menu section of your dashboard shows a counter, for example 14 of 40 menu items used (hidden items count). When you reach the limit the “Add a new item” box is replaced by a notice. Nothing is ever deleted to make room: reuse a hidden item, or move to a larger plan.
This table is what the product itself checks when it decides what to show you. Each row is explained on the page linked in its first column.

Two things are deliberately on every plan because they are promises to your customers rather than paid features: offering delivery at all, with a minimum order and a list of postcodes you deliver to, and marking any item sold out. Pickup time slots and delivery windows also need live card checkout before they do anything, because they belong to paying ahead, not to the request form.
Card checkout turns your page from a request form into a shop. Customers build a cart, pay by card on a secure Stripe page, and the money lands in your own Stripe account. Paid orders appear in your dashboard’s My Orders list, stock counts become available on menu items, and pickup times and delivery windows start working. Secret Kitchens takes no commission and never holds the money.
On Professional and Premium it is an add-on: a separate subscription of AUD 25 a month on top of your plan, with its own 30-day trial, billed alongside your plan and cancellable on its own. Tick “Add card checkout” when you register and the link is included in your go-live email. Decide later and we send you the link by hand. On Truck & Stall checkout is included in the plan. On Essential it is not available.
Paying for the add-on is the first half. The second half is connecting your Stripe account from the dashboard’s Payments section, and then we switch checkout on for your kitchen. Setting up card payments covers that.

Email info@secret-kitchens.com and we switch you. Changes apply from your next billing cycle. You cannot change your plan from the dashboard yourself.
Moving up switches on the extra tools straight away once the plan is updated. Moving down hides the tools the smaller plan does not include, but never deletes what you built with them. A menu over the new limit keeps every item and can still be edited, hidden and shown, it just cannot grow until it is under the limit again. Categories, packs and pickup times you already set are kept but stop rendering on your page, and come straight back if you move up again.
Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details never touch our site. Receipts, failed-payment notices and any changes to your subscription come by email from Stripe, and you can manage your card, invoices and subscription at any time through Stripe’s billing portal at billing.stripe.com, using the email your plan is under.
The dashboard’s Settings › Your plan card shows which plan you are on. It does not show prices or payment history, because those live with Stripe.
You can cancel any time with no exit fees. On Premium and Truck & Stall the first three months after the trial are paid as one payment, so cancelling within them does not refund that quarter. After that, cancel any month and billing stops. Your page comes down, or we hand you the files.
If your card checkout add-on lapses while checkout is still live on your page, we are alerted and will contact you before anything changes. Checkout is never switched off automatically.
